If you watch the full work, then you might have noticed the strands are seen as whole in distance. The close-up shows the addressed strokes and toneflow. The strokes in the rightside hair are smaller than a 0.3 mm mechanical pencil. They are made mostly out of veiled wooden. Also notice the weavenetting and randomizing I use to make the skin look natural.
